Jerusalem, 3 November, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Right-wing officials are pressuring Shin Bet chief David Zini to publicly disclose findings from the investigation into alleged foreign interference in Israel’s October 2026 elections, Israeli media reported Tuesday.

The pressure comes amid allegations that the Attorney General’s Office, State Prosecutor’s Office, and senior Shin Bet officials are obstructing the investigation and restricting its expansion.

According to sources familiar with the probe, Zini has complained to Central Elections Committee Chairman Justice Noam Sohlberg about difficulties advancing the investigation. They argue that publicly releasing available evidence is necessary to expose alleged efforts by hostile foreign countries and organizations to undermine the elections.

Meanwhile, right-wing parties are preparing to formally challenge the election results as a symbolic protest, acknowledging that the move has no practical effect.
