Jerusalem, 4 November, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Zehut Party leader Moshe Feiglin announced Wednesday that he would recommend Benjamin Netanyahu to the president as the candidate to form Israel’s next government, but warned that his support for a future coalition is not guaranteed.

“I committed in advance to recommend Netanyahu, and I will do so, but nothing beyond that,” Feiglin said. He added that Netanyahu could count him with an asterisk, conditioned on receiving the Defense Ministry portfolio.

Feiglin acknowledged the slim chances of securing the position as the head of a one-seat faction.

He sharply criticized Netanyahu over the security failures preceding the massacre, arguing that the prime minister should have resigned on October 8. Nevertheless, Feiglin called Netanyahu the “least of all evils,” blaming him for allowing deep institutional decay within Israel’s security establishment.
