Jerusalem, 4 November, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Northern District Planning Committee has deposited a major urban redevelopment plan for Acre’s northern coastline, spanning 139 acres (564,000 square meters).

Developed by the Ministry of Construction and Housing alongside Mined Architects, the project includes 2,322 new housing units, a 400-room hotel complex, and commercial hubs.

A key feature is a 22-acre (90,000-square-meter) coastal park alongside seaside promenades, public plazas, and beach access designed to integrate northwestern Acre directly into the Mediterranean waterfront. Central thoroughfares will feature active storefronts, bike lanes, and expanded public transit links.

Part of Acre’s national umbrella development agreement, the multi-use neighborhood aims to significantly boost regional housing capacity while establishing a major commercial and tourism anchor on Israel’s northern coast.
