Jerusalem, 6 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — JERUSALEM — Israel’s National Planning and Building Council approved the establishment of a new Druze community near the Yavor Junction in northern Israel, officials announced Tuesday.
Initiated by the Ministry of Construction and Housing alongside the Planning Administration, the project aims to expand housing solutions for the Druze population while continuing the development of existing regional towns. Planned on state-owned land, the new locality offers direct access to major transport routes, employment hubs, and regional services.
Following the council’s endorsement, the initiative advances to detailed planning stages, including blueprint design, environmental assessments, and institutional reviews required prior to breaking ground.
