Jerusalem, 3 November, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli security and tax agencies executed a massive joint enforcement operation in Umm al-Fahm targeting organized crime, money laundering, and tax evasion.

Led by the Israel Police, the Prime Minister’s Task Force Against Crime in the Arab Sector, the Shin Bet, and the Tax Authority, forces raided dozens of commercial properties.

Authorities arrested or detained 47 suspects involved in financial crimes and illegal labor practices.

Law enforcement seized tens of millions of shekels in illicit cash and unpaid debts, along with 11 vehicles valued at over three million shekels.

Officers also confiscated tens of kilograms of counterfeit tobacco and impounded over three tons of spoiled meat unfit for consumption, marking one of the largest multi-agency civil and criminal sweeps in recent months.
