Jerusalem, 28 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Likud accused Arab parties of election fraud Wednesday, alleging serious criminal offenses affected the results as the Arab parties secured a combined 19 Knesset seats. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s bloc holds just 53 seats, far short of the 61-seat majority needed to form a government.
Likud alleged that Arab parties had committed bribery, threats, violence, vote fraud and the use of prohibited voter-mobilization software.
The party said it was submitting hundreds of pieces of evidence to police, the Shin Bet and the Central Elections Committee. Allegations included cash and Ra’am ballots, intimidation of polling-station officials, duplicate voting and discrepancies between ballots and registered voters.
Likud demanded immediate investigations and prosecution of those responsible, calling the alleged offenses a serious assault on Israeli democracy. The allegations have not been independently established.
