Jerusalem, 26 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Monday reported arresting five terrorists affiliated with Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) during counterterrorism operations in Judea and Samaria last week.
Fighters from the Paratroopers Reconnaissance Unit completed an arrest operation Tuesday in Qabatiya, in the Menashe Brigade sector, detaining three Hamas operatives and two affiliated with PIJ.
In a separate operation led by the Binyamin Brigade, soldiers from the Paratroopers Brigade’s 202nd Battalion conducted a counterterrorism raid across the area. Troops searched more than 50 locations for weapons and questioned suspects linked to Hamas.
The operations formed part of the ongoing campaign by the Judea and Samaria Division to thwart terrorism through both defensive and offensive measures. The IDF continues to conduct targeted operations to locate weapons, apprehend suspected terrorists, and prevent attacks against Israeli civilians and security forces.
