Jerusalem, 26 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Health Ministry has warned against using the hair-straightening product Revival Miracle after a woman was hospitalized at Rambam Medical Center in Haifa following its use, Israeli media reported on Monday.
The ministry found that the product was marketed without a license or the required notification for marketing a cosmetic product. It also contains glyoxylic acid, an ingredient prohibited for use in Israel.
A ministry representative visited the salon where the product was used and collected a sample for laboratory testing, which is expected to take place in the coming days. The ministry also contacted P.R. Colordesign, whose name appears on the product label, but has not received a response.
The ministry warned that illegally marketed hair-straightening products or those containing prohibited ingredients may endanger public health. It urged consumers and salon owners to immediately stop using Revival Miracle and refrain from purchasing or marketing it.
