Jerusalem, 26 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli police uncovered an active crystal methamphetamine laboratory at a farm in Moshav Azrikam in southern Israel on Monday, seizing approximately 100 kilograms of drugs valued at an estimated NIS 50 million ($15 million), Israeli media reported.
Officers from the Lachish District Central Unit raided the property following a covert investigation into suspected drug offenses. One suspect, believed to have operated the laboratory, was arrested and taken for questioning.
A source familiar with the investigation described the seizure as exceptionally large, calling it one of the biggest crystal meth labs ever discovered in Israel. Investigators are examining where the raw chemical materials originated and how they were obtained.
Equipment used to manufacture the drug was also seized at the farm. Police transferred the evidence for further investigation and said additional arrests may follow. The suspect is reportedly connected to a senior Ashdod criminal figure known to law enforcement.
