Jerusalem, 3 November, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s National Counterterrorism Unit (YAMAM) arrested three murder suspects in Judea and Samaria on Tuesday, ending a nearly yearlong manhunt. The three residents of Ar’ara in the Negev are suspected of direct involvement in the October 2025 murder of Samih Talakat Abu Arar, which occurred amid a deadly family feud in the Bedouin town.
Following the murder, the suspects allegedly fled to Judea and Samaria and went into hiding to evade arrest. After an extended intelligence operation involving investigators from the Ar’ara police station and the Samaria Crime Unit, security forces identified their hiding places.
YAMAM fighters captured one suspect at a bus terminal near Rehelim and arrested the other two during a raid on a hideout apartment in the Samaria village of Funduq.
