Jerusalem, 3 November, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Likud MK Amit Halevi, the party’s representative on the Central Elections Committee, announced Tuesday that he would refuse to sign off on the results of Israel’s 26th Knesset election, citing unresolved suspicions of foreign interference, foreign funding, and election bribery.
Halevi argued that the results should not be approved until the Shin Bet completes its investigation.
Earlier, Likud representative and committee Deputy Chairman Ilan Bombach demanded an urgent meeting to receive updates on the probe before the results are published. Likud and Otzma Yehudit representatives also recommended voting against approval. However, committee chairman Supreme Court Justice Noam Solberg clarified that the committee’s role is strictly technical and that party representatives’ signatures are not required.
The final results will be submitted to the president on November 4, as scheduled.
