Jerusalem, 1 November, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Nearly half a million Israelis are dissatisfied with the service they receive from the National Insurance Institute, according to new Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) findings released Sunday as part of its 2025 Social Survey.
Some 29% of Israelis aged 20 and older, approximately 1.86 million people, used National Insurance services during the preceding year, excluding automatically paid benefits. While 72% expressed overall satisfaction, 27%, or roughly 507,000 people, were dissatisfied. The CBS did not examine the reasons for overall dissatisfaction.
Among specific complaints, 33% cited long waiting times, 23% were unhappy with office hours, and 22% said they had not received accurate information about eligibility requirements and necessary documents. Meanwhile, 71% were satisfied with staff treatment, while 21% (approximately 393,000 people) were dissatisfied.
Overall satisfaction has risen from 63% in 2015 to 72% in 2025.
