Jerusalem, 14 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Defense Minister Israel Katz warned Hezbollah that it would suffer severe consequences if it joined an Iranian attack against Israel.
“If Hezbollah attacks alongside Iran, it will be dealt a heavy blow and lose additional territory,” Katz declared, signaling that Israel would expand its military response beyond the Lebanese terrorist organization’s existing positions.
The warning comes amid heightened regional tensions and concerns that Tehran could seek to coordinate attacks through its Lebanese proxy ahead of the Knesset elections.
Israel has repeatedly held Hezbollah responsible for threats to northern communities and warned that any renewed aggression would prompt a forceful response.
Katz’s statement underscores Jerusalem’s determination to prevent Hezbollah from opening another front in coordination with Iran.
