Jerusalem, 11 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Sources in Gaza report that an overnight Israeli strike near the Al-Quba Mosque in the southern Gaza Strip killed Mohammad Al-Yazouri, who commanded Hamas’s Khan Yunis Brigade. The strike also resulted in the deaths of two other individuals, including Hamas commander and engineer Hudhayfa Maamar.

If confirmed, the killing would represent another significant blow to Hamas’s chain of command in the Khan Younis area, one of the terrorist organization’s main strongholds in the southern Gaza Strip.

Khan Younis has long been considered one of Hamas’s main centers of activity in the southern Gaza Strip, with operational infrastructure, command centers, and Senior Hamas figures operating in the area.
