Security Forces Eliminate Hamas Operative Involved in Numerous Attacks That Killed Israeli Soldiers and Civilians
Israeli forces eliminated Hamas operative Farah Hamad in Gaza for orchestrating deadly attacks in Judea and Samaria and the 2003 Ein Yabrud shooting.
Jerusalem, 10 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — In a joint operation by the Shin Bet (Israel’s anti-terror General Security Service), the IDF (Israel Defense Forces), and other security forces yesterday (Wednesday) eliminated Farah Hamad in an airstrike in the Gaza Strip. Hamad was an operative in the military wing of the Hamas terrorist organization who previously participated in attacks against IDF forces during the war.
As part of his roles, Hamad promoted terrorist schemes in Judea and Samaria in recent years. For years, he was part of the “Silwad” cell and executed several major attacks in the Binyamin region that resulted in the murder of Israeli civilians and the injury of others. Additionally, Hamad took part in the October 2003 shooting attack in Ein Yabrud, in which three IDF soldiers fell: Sgt. Elad Pollack, Sgt. Roy Yaakov Solomon, and Staff Sgt. Erez Idan.
Hamad was arrested and subsequently released to the Gaza Strip in 2011 as part of the “Shalit deal.” Since then, he remained affiliated with Hamas’s military wing, recruiting and directing operatives to advance terror attacks in Judea and Samaria.
