Two Electric Shocks Save 12-Year-Old Who Collapsed at a Mall
A 12-year-old boy collapsed and was revived by Magen David Adom medics with two electric shocks at a Tel Aviv mall before being taken to Schneider Children’s.
Jerusalem, 10 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — A 12-year-old boy collapsed and lost consciousness inside a store at a shopping mall in Metropolitan Tel Aviv. Magen David Adom (MDA) medics and paramedics rushed to the scene and began life-saving treatment.
MDA emergency medic Meir Azulay arrived within about two minutes of the emergency call and found the boy unconscious, not breathing, and without a pulse. He immediately began CPR and used his defibrillator to deliver two electric shocks. The boy’s heart began beating again, and he gradually regained consciousness.
according to MDA paramedics, the boy was given medication and evacuated to Schneider Children’s Medical Center in stable condition and conscious.
