TPS: Israel Launches Volunteer Security Patrol in Arab Town Near Jerusalem
Israel's National Community Security Authority has established a volunteer security patrol of 30 residents in the Arab town of Ein Naqquba, near Jerusalem.
Jerusalem, 15 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s National Community Security Authority has launched a volunteer security and resilience patrol in Ein Naqquba, an Arab town near Jerusalem, made up of roughly 30 local residents.
The volunteers will work on a routine basis and during emergencies to help maintain a sense of security within the community and provide first aid when needed.
The initiative is part of a broader effort by Israeli authorities to establish community-based security patrols across towns and neighborhoods nationwide, including in Arab and mixed communities.
It also comes against the backdrop of Israel’s ongoing “war” on crime in Arab society.
