Israel Police: Fire in Beitar Illit - Numerous police forces from the Judea district are currently operating to maintain public order and direct forces.

Firefighters from the Judea regional station continue their firefighting efforts at this hour, in which dozens of firefighters and fire trucks are participating, with assistance from, among others, firefighting aircraft from the ‘Elad’ squadron of the Israel Police Air Unit. A short while ago, a situation assessment concluded, headed by the Commander of the Judea district in the Police, Superintendent Eli Zeitoun, and with the participation of the Judea Regional Commander of the Fire and Rescue Services – Deputy Chief Tamir Erez, representatives of the local authority, and emergency and rescue personnel. At the conclusion of the situation assessment, Superintendent Zeitoun ordered the continuation of treatment efforts while maintaining the scene free of onlookers, preserving evacuation routes, maintaining order, and allowing firefighters to operate without interruption in order to gain full control of the flames. We request that the public not approach the fire scene and allow free passage for security vehicles in the area.
