Jerusalem, 9 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — An 18-year-old suspect was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a man in his 70s following a road dispute in Bat Yam, Israeli media reported Friday.
The confrontation allegedly escalated from an argument on the road into a physical assault against the elderly man. Police detained the teenager as part of an investigation into the incident.
The victim had driven to pick up his grandson from school when the suspect, riding an electric scooter, approached and demanded that he move his car. The man explained that heavy traffic prevented him from moving forward.
According to the allegations, the young man then approached the driver and struck him in the face and upper body. The victim suffered bruises and required medical treatment.
