Jerusalem, 25 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Securities Authority has granted Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) a temporary four-month extension to repay its only outstanding bond series, worth NIS 154 million ($48 million), allowing repayment to be postponed until April 2027. The decision provides temporary relief from a legal dispute over information the state-owned defense company must disclose to investors.

IAI faces restrictions on revealing sensitive security information under a confidentiality order. The Justice and Defense ministries, the Government Companies Authority, and IAI must establish what alternative disclosures can satisfy investors without compromising national security.

The original repayment deadline is December 1, 2026. The extension is intended to prevent damage to IAI’s standing in capital markets ahead of a planned share offering next year. Officials have warned that losing its status as a reporting corporation could undermine IAI’s ability to raise financing and attract investors. The extension remains conditional on resolving disclosure requirements.
