Jerusalem, 23 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — JERUSALEM — A man in his 30s is in serious, unstable condition following a terror car-ramming attack near the Maccabim checkpoint on Highway 443 near Modi’in, hospital authorities confirmed.
The victim was rushed to Shaare Zedek Medical Center’s Trauma Unit in Jerusalem in an unconscious state, suffering from severe head and limb injuries after a suspect rammed a police vehicle. Medical teams administered immediate life-saving interventions to stabilize the patient in the trauma room.
Hospital officials stated that the patient remains sedated and ventilated in serious condition as he undergoes advanced imaging and specialized surgical evaluations. Security forces neutralized the assailant at the scene, and police investigations into the attack are ongoing.
Police earlier confirmed that one police officer was wounded in the attack.
