Security Forces Eliminate Terrorist Who Wounded Police Officer in Car-Ramming Attack Near Maccabim Checkpoint
Israeli security forces killed a terrorist who rammed a police vehicle near the Maccabim checkpoint, severely injuring an officer.
Jerusalem, 23 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — JERUSALEM — Israeli Security forces neutralized a terrorist who launched a car-ramming attack targeting a police vehicle near the Maccabim checkpoint on Highway 443 near Modi’in, officials reported.
The Israel Police confirmed that a Judea and Samaria District police cruiser was struck during the assault, resulting in severe injuries to one officer. Security forces present at the scene immediately engaged and killed the assailant.
Reinforcements deployed to the area to secure the perimeter as police and military authorities launched a joint investigation into the incident along the strategic central artery.
