Jerusalem, 27 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Central Elections Committee has announced that voting in the 26th Knesset election is expected to continue beyond 10 p.m. Tuesday, as polling stations across the country handle a massive voter turnout.
The announcement means that the scheduled closing time will not necessarily mark the end of voting nationwide. Under election procedures, eligible voters who are already waiting in line when a polling station closes its doors may still be permitted to cast their ballots.
The extended voting period may affect when the final picture of turnout becomes clear, as election officials continue processing ballots and reports from polling stations nationwide.
