Jerusalem, 25 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — At the funeral on Sunday of Staff Sgt. Yuval Shai Soylam, killed in a terrorist shooting near Hebron, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir called for executing convicted terrorists, expelling their families, and dismantling the Palestinian Authority (PA).
The Otzma Yehudit chairman praised Israeli soldiers for killing terrorists and urged the government to execute those captured alive. “I pray, hope, and will do everything so that we can execute them,” he said.
Ben-Gvir also praised prison measures introduced under his tenure, including ending what he described as terrorists’ “pampering” and turning their prison conditions into “hell.” He accused the Palestinian Authority of educating children to murder Jews and naming public squares after killers. He declared that this “cannot continue to exist here.”
