Jerusalem, 14 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli security forces have launched a manhunt and detained several suspects following a suspected car-ramming incident near the city of Ariel in Samaria on Wednesday.
According to military and Judea and Samaria District police sources, a vehicle failed to obey orders at a security checkpoint before striking an Israeli security guard. The guard opened fire at the vehicle as it fled the scene. Israel Defense Forces (IDF) troops and police units immediately deployed to the area, establishing road blockades and conducting extensive searches to apprehend remaining suspects involved in the attack.
The guard’s condition was not immediately released.
Investigation into the event is ongoing.
