Jerusalem, 25 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The IDF has evacuated approximately 2,500 Palestinian residents in Hebron as part of its ongoing, large-scale counterterrorism operation, “Operation Roaring Judah.”
The sweep focuses heavily on the Al-Jalda and Ein Deir Bacha neighborhoods in western Hebron, the home district of the two Hamas-affiliated gunmen who carried out the deadly shooting attack at Judah Junction.
Seeking to systematically clear the dense urban area, search buildings for weapons caches, and detain suspects, the military applied operational models previously deployed in northern Samaria refugee camps.
Hebron Municipality officials confirmed that tactical evacuation demands expanded sequentially from 250 initial families to encompass 2,500 people. Displaced residents are being processed through three military screening and interrogation checkpoints set up around the cordoned-off operational perimeter.
