Jerusalem, 29 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel recorded 15.1 million overnight hotel stays between January and September 2026, down from 15.8 million during the same period in 2025, according to the Central Bureau of Statistics.

The industry’s ongoing volatility follows successive regional conflicts, including Operation “Swords of Iron,” Operation “Am Kalavi,” and the launch of Operation “Harry’s Roar” on February 28, 2026.

Israelis accounted for 84% of total hotel stays (12.7 million nights), while foreign tourist stays totaled 2.5 million nights (16%).

Overall nationwide room occupancy averaged 50%, with regional occupancy rates varying significantly—ranging from a low of 36% in the Northern District to a high of 66% in the Southern District.
