Jerusalem, 4 November, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Dutch singer Lenny Kuhr, who co-won the 1969 Eurovision Song Contest representing the Netherlands, immigrated to Israel on Tuesday alongside her husband, Robert.

Officials from Israel’s Ministry of Aliyah and Integration greeted the veteran performer upon her arrival at Ben Gurion Airport. Kuhr, a prominent figure in Dutch music for decades, stated upon landing that she was excited to be in Israel and felt at home. The move allows her to join her children, who already reside in the country.

Kuhr previously disclosed that her decision to relocate was driven by a desire to be near her family as well as rising antisemitism and an increasingly hostile climate toward Jews in the Netherlands following recent political tensions in Europe.
