At constant prices, total education spending contracted by 2.2% in 2025, following a 1.2% decline in 2024.

On a per-capita basis, spending fell by 3.5% over the year, extending a 2.6% drop recorded in the previous year.

The remaining 21.5% was covered through household payments, non-governmental non-profits, international donations, and grants.
