Jerusalem, 7 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The United Arab Emirates has canceled landing approvals for Israeli Rescue Flights from Dubai, forcing El Al and Israir to cancel scheduled flights and putting Arkia’s operation in doubt. The cancellations came as Israel’s effort to bring home passengers stranded in Dubai entered its final stages following the suspension of flydubai flights after last week’s cockpit attack.

Israir announced that its October 8 rescue flight was canceled after UAE authorities withdrew its landing permit. El Al was also forced to cancel planned rescue flights after its approvals were revoked. Arkia’s flight, scheduled for Thursday evening, remained officially scheduled at the time, but the company was checking the matter with UAE authorities.

Israel has been working with UAE authorities on security requirements and approvals for the repatriation operation, facing a dispute over security arrangements.
