Jerusalem, 1 November, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli prosecutors will file aggravated murder charges against three suspects accused of operating a coordinated hit squad in the Arab city of Tayibe, police confirmed. The September 10, 2026 ambush highlights the ongoing wave of deadly violent crime and organized gang activity plaguing Israel’s Arab communities.
According to central district investigators, the suspects conducted days of covert surveillance before executing a pre-planned hit. One operative surveilled the victim’s residence, a driver blocked the victim’s vehicle, and a gunman fired multiple rounds through the car window at point-blank range, killing him instantly.
Following a covert investigation, central unit detectives and Tayibe station officers identified and arrested the suspects.
Prosecutors are requesting their remand in custody until the conclusion of proceedings, as law enforcement continues targeted operations against Arab sector criminal networks and illegal firearms trafficking.
