Jerusalem, 28 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — A group of right-wing ministers, lawmakers and party representatives on Wednesday demanded an immediate criminal investigation into a suspected large-scale election bribery benefiting the Ra’am party in Arab communities.

In an urgent letter to Central Elections Committee Chairman Justice Noam Sohlberg and Shin Bet chief David Zini, they alleged possible widespread interference with election results.

The demand follows the arrest of three Negev residents allegedly linked to Ra’am activities on Election Day. Police reportedly seized envelopes containing tens of thousands of shekels in cash, suspected of being intended to pay voters in exchange for voting for the party.

The letter also cites reports from polling station observers of voters carrying fuel vouchers and gift cards, with some allegedly admitting they received them for voting Ra’am. The signatories suspect a nationwide voter-reward network and linked the allegations to unusually high turnout in Arab communities.
