Jerusalem, 3 November, 2026 (TPS-IL) — A joint investigation by the Judea and Samaria District Police’s counterterrorism unit and the Shin Bet uncovered a Palestinian cell that manufactured rocket components and explosives intended for attacks against Israel and security forces.
Six suspects, residents of the Jenin area in their 30s, were arrested.
Investigators found an M16 rifle, an RPG warhead, a rocket body, and explosive devices. The suspects also conducted experiments, including three test launches.
Investigators also discovered that the cell received instructions through a messaging app from an external contact who communicated with the main suspect, detailing materials needed to manufacture explosives. Written instructions for producing explosives, rockets and other devices were also seized.
A prosecutor’s statement was submitted against all six suspects over the weekend, with formal indictments expected in the coming days.
