Jerusalem, 3 November, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli security forces, including Jerusalem District Police, Border Police, and Civil Administration representatives, dismantled several illegal structures in the northern Jerusalem neighborhood of Neve Yaakov.
Authorities confirmed the action followed a formal decision by the Civil Administration to clear unauthorized structures erected on contested land at the northern tip of the city. Officials stated the illegal land takeover had generated persistent friction and violent clashes between rival local residents in recent weeks.
Operating under statutory enforcement powers, security units safely evacuated the premises and demolished the makeshift buildings to restore public order and maintain land zoning regulations.
Police forces remained deployed in the area following the operation to prevent renewed tensions and secure the site against unlawful reoccupation.
