Jerusalem, 6 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli Medical device company IceCure Medical said Tuesday it has added Legacy Health, a U.S. nonprofit health system based in Oregon, as a clinical site for a study evaluating its minimally invasive treatment for low-risk breast cancer.

The Caesarea-based company said Legacy Medical Group–Surgical Oncology at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Portland will participate in the FDA-approved ChoICE post-market study of IceCure’s ProSense cryoablation system, which destroys tumors by freezing them.

The study is expected to enroll about 400 patients at up to 30 U.S. sites. Legacy Health, which operates hospitals and clinics in Oregon and southwest Washington, will be led at the site by breast cancer specialist Nathalie Johnson, M.D.
