Jerusalem, 17 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israeli Security Forces arrested a senior figure from the Fatah-associated Tanzim terror organization in the Balata refugee camp in Shechem (Nablus), the Israel Defense Forces said. The 35-year-old suspect, from the nearby Palestinian village of Kafr Qalil, resisted arrest and attempted to flee. Officers shot him in the legs and provided medical treatment before transferring him for further questioning.
No Israeli forces were injured.
