Jerusalem, 8 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s Population and Immigration Authority has revoked the work permit of a Chinese national suspected of aiding an illegal border-crossing attempt from Jordan.

The worker, who had been residing in Israel for two years, was arrested on Route 90 while waiting to pick up two Chinese citizens. The pair were apprehended on the Jordanian side of the border by local forces during their attempt to enter Israel illegally.

Following his arrest, the suspect was handed over to the Enforcement and Foreigners Administration for breaching his permit conditions. Authorities have formally initiated a hearing process as part of procedures to deport him from the country.
