Fatal Crash on Route 90 Near Shlomtzion Leaves One Dead
One man died and multiple others were injured in a four-vehicle collision on Route 90 near Shlomtzion, with seriously injured victims airlifted to Jerusalem.
Jerusalem, 26 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — A man in his 60s was killed and several others injured Friday night in a four-vehicle collision on Route 90 near Shlomtzion in the Jordan Valley.
Emergency responders found the man trapped in a vehicle in a roadside ditch and pronounced him dead at the scene. Two other men, approximately 60 and 40, were seriously injured; a man in his 30s sustained moderate injuries, and two additional people were lightly hurt.
Magen David Adom teams treated the victims, with helicopters evacuating the more seriously injured to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem. Firefighters worked to free those trapped in the wreckage.
Police closed Route 90 in both directions and sent traffic investigators from the Judea and Samaria District to examine the circumstances of the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
