A suspect who drove recklessly on Route 90 and fled by ramming a police car was arrested at the end of a pursuit by police officers from the Judea and Samaria District, who were operating on Route 90, near the Beit Ha’arava junction.

The driver did not respond to the officers’ calls to stop and began to flee, driving recklessly, ramming police vehicles, and causing minor injuries to two officers. The forces, sensing danger to their lives and to other drivers, fired at the vehicle’s tires, and the suspect was arrested by them. At this stage, medical treatment is being provided to the injured officers, and the arrested suspect, a resident of Jericho, was transferred for investigation along with another suspect who was with him in the vehicle. Preliminary investigation reveals that the driver has never obtained a driver’s license. Shortly before, on Road 60 near the British Police Junction, officers from the Binyamin station identified a vehicle that overtook a solid dividing line, endangering road users. The driver did not respond to the officers’ calls to stop and began to escape, driving recklessly. The forces, who set up a roadblock at the Shilo Junction, arrested the suspect, a resident of Dura in his 30s. The investigation into the cases is ongoing.
