Israeli Troops Kill Hezbollah Gunman in Beaufort Area
Israeli troops killed a Hezbollah gunman in southern Lebanon's Beaufort area after he fired at them during a patrol, with two soldiers lightly injured.

Jerusalem, 7 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Defense Forces said Monday that troops killed a Hezbollah terrorist in a face-to-face encounter in the Beaufort area of southern Lebanon. The terrorist fired at troops during a patrol, prompting them to return fire. Two Israeli soldiers were slightly injured and evacuated to hospital.
The IDF later struck the area and additional Hezbollah weapons depots, headquarters and infrastructure, it said.
