Israel Strikes Hamas Sites After Explosive Detonates Near Yellow Line
The IDF struck Hamas terrorist infrastructure sites in Gaza after an explosive device detonated near the Yellow Line, violating the ceasefire agreement.
Jerusalem, 7 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The IDF reported that an engineering vehicle drove over a Hamas explosive device in the Yellow Line area of northern Gaza on Sunday. No IDF injuries were reported.
The military said the incident constitutes a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement by Hamas.
In response, the IDF struck Hamas terrorist infrastructure sites overnight Monday that were used to advance attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF troops.
the Yellow Line marks the areas where Israeli forces are continuing to operate under the Gaza ceasefire agreement: Israel controls everything to the east, north and south of the line and Hamas and other terrorists are prohibited from crossing it.
