Jerusalem, 2 November, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Kazakhstan’s deputy prime minister, Zhaslan Madiyev, is leading a delegation of more than 50 senior officials and business representatives on a visit to Israel, the highest-level Kazakh visit to the country in a decade.

Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar hosted Madiyev at the Foreign Ministry on Monday, ahead of a meeting of the two countries’ joint economic committee, co-chaired by Madiyev and Israeli Minister Ze’ev Elkin.

Madiyev, who oversees Kazakhstan’s national artificial intelligence program, is accompanied by deputy ministers, regional governors and representatives of state-owned enterprises.

The delegation will also meet with Israel’s Innovation Authority, Space Agency, National AI Directorate and National Cyber Directorate, as well as Israeli companies.

The visit follows trips to Kazakhstan by President Isaac Herzog and Sa’ar during the first half of 2026.
