Jerusalem, 15 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Israeli Military reported that it killed Mohsen Farid Said Abu Hadaf, identified as an Islamic Jihad rocket cell commander, in an airstrike in the Khan Younis area of southern Gaza last weekend.

According to the IDF (Israel Defense Forces), Abu Hadaf took part in the October 7, 2023, attack, infiltrating the Kissufim area during the assault. The military said he had recently been involved in planning attacks against Israeli forces and civilians, in what it described as a violation of the ongoing ceasefire, and that he was killed to remove the threat he posed.
