Jerusalem, 15 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet security agency eliminated two terrorists in an airstrike in southern Gaza’s Khan Yunis area on Wednesday, targeting their role in smuggling weapons and military equipment into the Strip.

The terrorists, Basel Nabil Abdulrahman Qashta and Ahmed Raja al-Shaer, were responsible for procuring and trading weapons while advancing arms smuggling operations into Gaza, according to the security agencies. Their elimination was intended to remove threats to Israeli civilians and IDF troops operating in areas along the Yellow Line.

Before the strike, the military took measures to minimize civilian casualties, including precision munitions and aerial surveillance.
