Jerusalem, 6 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — IDF Northern Brigade forces, under the command of the 99th Division, together with Southern Command engineering forces, continue operations to clear terrorist infrastructure in northern Gaza, east of the Yellow Line.
During the operation, brigade troops and divisional engineering forces located and destroyed an underground route stretching approximately 1.5 kilometers.
The IDF said its forces remain deployed throughout the area under the terms of the ceasefire agreement and will continue operating to remove any immediate threats. The military did not provide further details about the tunnel’s location, construction, or whether it was connected to Hamas infrastructure.
