Jerusalem, 4 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) — JERUSALEM — The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) eliminated senior Hamas military commander Mu’ad Jamal Abu Nasir during an airstrike in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, military officials announced Sunday.
In a separate strike on Saturday, IDF aircraft targeted and killed Mahmoud Ibrahim Deeb Alian, an operative within Hamas’s observation unit. According to the IDF, Alian was actively advancing terror operations targeting Israeli troops along the designated Yellow Line zone and attempting to reconstitute combat capabilities in violation of the ceasefire agreement.
The military emphasized that precise munitions and real-time aerial surveillance were utilized to minimize civilian harm. IDF Southern Command forces remain deployed along agreed lines to neutralize immediate threats.
