Military officials stated that Al-Aaser had recently advanced terror operations targeting IDF troops and Israeli civilians while working to rebuild Hamas’ organizational capabilities in systematic violation of the ceasefire. The IDF confirmed the targeted aerial strike was launched to neutralize an immediate security threat posed by the operative.
Forces deployed under Southern Command remain positioned in accordance with current operational agreements, with officials emphasizing that troops will continue proactive measures to eliminate any immediate security threats.
