Jerusalem, 2 November, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Israel’s National Road Safety Authority (NRSA) presented findings from its “Risk-Aware Riding” initiative at the 38th ICTCT conference in Zagreb, Croatia, highlighting significant safety improvements for motorcyclists.

Developed to counter rising motorcycle casualties over the past decade, the program utilizes the international Goals for Driver Education (GDE) framework to train riders across all license categories.

Research revealed that participants demonstrated statistically significant gains in hazard perception, improved vehicle control, and a reduction in risky behaviors. By prioritizing preventive driving strategies, risk anticipation, and self-reflection, the curriculum equips riders to proactively avoid road hazards. The study’s international presentation showcases

Israel’s data-driven methodology as a scalable model for reducing global two-wheeler traffic fatalities.
