Israel Raises Alert Level in Judea and Samaria Ahead of High Holidays

Jerusalem, 27 August, 2026 (TPS-IL) — Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir said Thursday that the Israel Defense Forces is raising its alert level in Judea and Samaria amid regional tensions and ahead of the High Holidays.

The High Holidays begin with Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, which starts at sundown on Sept. 11.
