Jerusalem, 1 November, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) Search and Rescue Brigade initiated a major weeklong military exercise across multiple nationwide locations to bolster home front readiness.

The scheduled drill tests the brigade’s capacity to deploy specialized extraction capabilities during complex, multi-front civilian emergency scenarios.

Operating in close coordination with civilian first responders and emergency management agencies, military personnel will practice simultaneous large-scale disaster interventions.

Defense officials noted that increased troop and emergency vehicle movements will occur throughout the country for the duration of the drill.

The IDF Home Front Command emphasized that the exercise was pre-planned under its annual 2026 training program and does not stem from an active security event.
